Dear Icemakers,

3 Kinds of Ice was turned off on March 31st, 2017. It's been a crazy rollercoaster ride and I'm extremely thankful to all the people who helped us get this far. We failed on our mission to make it easier to uncover a city’s hidden gems and we’re truly sorry.

The truth is that we weren’t able to make enough money to fuel our growth. We learned that it wasn't possible to earn enough from commissions and content to cover the skyrocketing cost of growing a mobile app. The sums just didn't add up.

So what about the 3 Kinds of Ice Team?

Russ and I are working on a new product called Cheeky Weekend. It takes your calendar and figures out the cheapest weekend for you to visit 100's of awesome destinations without taking time off work - many for under £50 return. We’d love for you to try it out for free.

Helen now writes about London's cocktail and bar scene for the likes of BarChick, Londonist and London’s Cocktails. And Chessie has become London’s runaway social media success.
